This Year Will be Different

Oh the New Year!   A time for resolutions; a time for new beginnings; a time to reflect.  A time to see how much weight I’ve gained eating fast food running my kids from one activity to the next.  I mean, join a gym.  Have you ever noticed the moms working out at your kids’ practices?  I envy them. I barely had enough energy to haul my chair from the car to the practice field and you my dear have on your adorable matching Lululemon workout clothes, earbuds in and you’re doing laps around the field.    I’m just lucky I brush my hair most days let alone find matching workout clothes. This is going to be the year though. I’m going to be one of those moms. I’m going to meal plan, pack our dinners for practice nights and I’m going to go show up at practice ready to burn!  I can feel it. I mean, last year my resolutions were WILDLY successful (that could be because I didn’t make any) so right now I have a great running start. Who’s with me?! If you’re one of those inspiring moms and see the new girl at your child’s practice trying to make this happen, please take pity on me and pretend like you’ve only done one lap instead of four.
