Watch a movie from the pool on the First Friday of each month this summer. “The Little Mermaid” shows on May 3 and “Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse” is featured on June 7. The gates open at 7 p.m. with Slides open from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The movie will be playing on a giant screen at sundown. Tickets are $4 per person (no charge for children under 2) and can be purchased at the ticket window. There will be snacks for sale, and limited pool areas open. May 4 @ 8:30pm Monument Night Adventure
This is a night hike at the Art Smith Trailhead in Palm Desert, looking for the desert’s nocturnal creatures. It is a family friendly event, but minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and everyone must wear closed-toed shoes. This is a weekly hike through summer.

May 4 from 9am-noon Train Day at The Living Desert
Great opportunity to see The Living Desert’s 3,300 feet of track at the Garden Railroad while participating in a Scavenger Hunt, listening to train chats, and enjoying other train-themed adventures. You can even adopt a train and have your family or business featured within their track! This is a free event with paid admission or for members.
May 18 @ 11 AM Free Swim Lesson Day at Palm Desert Aquatic Center
Children ages 6 months (with parent) to 17 years of age, will receive a free 30-minute swim lesson during the event, along with free admission for recreational swim that includes an additional two guest passes for use that day. June 16 @ 12pm Graffiti Paint Camp
Every third Sunday Westfield Shopping Center Palm Desert presents Graffiti Paint Camp, featuring interactive art stations highlighting a full spectrum of the arts: Stencils and Spray paint Stickers & Markers MOP “Drip” Calligraphy Giant Paint by Numbers Mural Guests can make and take something at each station, and stations will change every two weeks. June 19 Paper Planes and Parachutes
Flight is the theme of this week’s STEM program at Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert and your kids can experience the museum for only $5 after 5pm, with the museum staying open until 8pm.
